Everyone’s a bigot.
Yes, that includes you and me. And everyone should be a bigot because bigotry has an extremely useful purpose. Bigotry, when properly used, can act as a bulwark against behaviors, ideas, or any other social variable that would disturb societal stability and the common good. But in order to ensure the proper usage of bigotry, society must be operating based off the proper moral framework. Only proper morality can ensure that the bigotry is morally justified and not being used for evil. Deviating from proper morality will undoubtedly lead to bigotry being misused. The end result of this misuse will be the inversion of bigotry. In other words, what’s good will be called bad and what’s bad will be called good.
Sound familiar? It should, given that this accurately describes modern America. We have strayed from our foundational moral framework, Christianity, and we have embraced a secular one. Now this isn’t entirely the case all the way to our core; we still have things like murder laws—which we have because the Bible teaches that murder is immoral—but they are not up for debate only because murder is still viewed as wrong despite secularism’s inability to objectively explain why.
Other immoralities have unfortunately gone from justifiably bigoted to immorally accepted on account of increased cultural adherence to incorrect morality. This is inarguably the case.
For example, look at the issue of homosexuality. We have pride parades flamboyantly sauntering through our streets every June where guys are walking around in chaps—their bare butt invariably on display—or with their junk out in front of children. And this is celebrated!
I can understand wanting to be left alone in your own home. It’s still immoral behavior, but it’s at least contained. But what goes on at these parades is, to put it nicely, inappropriate. Nobody that is sensible is going to look at a lot of the stuff that happens at these parades and think that it’s wonderful. They’d likely be thinking to themselves that this type of behavior probably isn’t the best thing to have happening in the streets, in broad daylight, in front of children. So given this type of behavior is immoral and highly inappropriate, it should be bigoted. We don’t let children into clubs, nor do we let them see R-rated movies. So why should we permit the type of behavior that goes on at these parades, which is just as immoral, if not more so, than what happens at clubs or in R-rated movies, to occur in the middle of a city or town? But because of our moral perversions, our bigotry has also become perverted, and my opinion on this issue would be bigoted by modern society rather than the attires and behaviors at these parades.
Here’s another example. We are living in a post-sexual revolution society. The immorality of porn is unfathomably pervasive to the point where it’s basically unavoidable. Now, porn has always been wrong. But it used to be a contained industry. The availability of the product increased over the years, going from theaters to video stores to the internet, but the existence of an established industry ensured the number of participants in making the product was limited.
With the advent of OnlyFans, however, making porn has become highly decentralized, significantly cheaper, and, more importantly, profitable for individuals, not just companies. This has, tragically, led to many everyday women becoming online prostitutes—it’s not inappropriate to say that a large number of people my age know a girl with an OnlyFans. And many of them have become ludicrously wealthy in doing so because, also tragically, many guys today are so pathetic that they are willing to pay for this crap. Furthermore, this behavior, and the wealth created from it, is celebrated—just like the degeneracy at the parades—by many in modern society, especially in the legacy press, as an example of sexual liberation and female independence. Well, the relations between the sexes, especially for those of us under 30, have never been worse, so, yeah, what a wonderful success.
It goes without saying that this type of sexual behavior should be bigoted and shamed rather than celebrated, given how it’s totally ravaged our society. And I could go on and on with example after example of behaviors that used to be rightfully bigoted but are now immorally celebrated, but I think I’ve made my point.
Fortunately, on account of all this societal degradation and immorality, there is, unsurprisingly, a strong outpouring of support on the internet, especially in culturally conservative circles, for the idea of bringing back shame as a major cultural force. And what is shame? It’s bigotry; it’s prejudice; it’s discrimination. Everyone advocating this position sees what I see. They also understand the utility and necessity of bigotry in ensuring the common good and overall decency in society.
Society has been self-destructively addicted to “YES” for decades. What everyone with their eyes open can see is that we are long overdue for the reemergence and reign of “NO.”
